For years, this vineyard has been shaped by the land, the people who care for it, and the community that has gathered here.
As we began thinking about the years ahead, we kept coming back to a simple question: How do we move forward while staying true to everything that brought us here? Rooted North grew from that idea.
The name represents moving forward with intention while staying grounded in the vineyard and the values that have shaped us.
Rooted speaks to our connection to the land—the vines we tend, the seasons we work through, and the agricultural community we’re proud to be part of.
North is both where we are and where we’re headed. It’s our home on the North Fork, but it also represents direction, growth, and looking ahead with purpose.
Together, Rooted North felt like the right name for this next chapter.
While the name and labels may look different, much of what you know and love isn’t changing. We’re still farming the same vineyards, making wine with the same care, and welcoming guests to the same place on Oregon Road. You’ll still find the wines you’ve come to know over the years, alongside new bottles we’re excited to share.
You’ll also find the same belief that wine doesn’t need to be complicated to be meaningful. It can be the bottle opened around the dinner table, poured for friends on a Friday evening, packed for a day at the beach, or saved for something worth celebrating.
That’s the kind of wine we want to make, and the kind of winery we want to be.
Our vineyards are Certified Sustainable, and caring for them with the future in mind continues to be central to everything we do. In the cellar, our focus remains on balanced, expressive wines that begin with the fruit and reflect where they’re grown. And in the tasting room, we want you to feel comfortable settling in, asking questions, trying something new, and staying for another glass.
Rooted North isn’t about leaving our story behind. It’s about bringing everything we’ve learned along the way together and building on it—with a clearer sense of who we are and where we’re going.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of Suhru & Lieb over the years. Many of you have been visiting, enjoying our wines, bringing friends, joining our Wine Club, and celebrating life’s milestones with us for a very long time.
